He is called (Tawir Al-Thahab), and whoever hears his story thinks it is a fairy tale, but in reality it is true. He is Jabr Al Shayeb Al-Tobi, a resident of Al-Muthanna Governorate.
The story of this strange man was racing with the train due to his extreme speed, as he frequented Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, walking or running. He was an extraordinary man who covered 70 km per hour on foot between Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi patrols used to call him the Iraqi “genie.”
Genealogy researcher, Muhammad Al-Khafaji, said in an interview with Al-Masra, “An incident recorded for him with the Kuwaiti patrol in the late seventies led to him being arrested in an ambush on the border, so he asked them to relieve himself, and when they allowed him to do so because he was not able to escape because they were in the desert and they had a jeep.” You will arrest him if he tries to escape, so he went aside, and when he finished, he waved his hand and said to them: God is safe, and he drove off at a crazy speed that exceeded the speed of the jeep.
Muhammad continued to talk to Al-Masra, “Another incident that is being discussed by our grandparents. We were working in a building in Saudi Arabia, and (Taweer Al-Dhahab) was working with us. There was a Lebanese engineer who had heard the story of Taweer Al-Dhahab with the Kuwaiti periodical and other stories, and he had doubts about those strange stories. The Lebanese engineer made a bet with The gold bird The bet was that they would set off at the same time, the engineer in his modern car, and the gold bird on his feet on two different paths to a building that was about 6 kilometers away from them. When the race started and they set off, and when the Lebanese engineer arrived at the intended building, thinking that he had won the bet, which was (10) Saudi riyals, he was surprised when the gold bird came out of that building, smiling, with (a tea pot) in his hand. The engineer was astonished and lost the bet.
Muhammad continued, “In one of the funny questions that were asked to him, they said to him, ‘Why don’t you rob banks or some stores and others?’ He replied to them, ‘Firstly, I cannot.’ It is forbidden by law. Secondly, ‘because I cannot turn in the road at a sharp angle, which exposes me to colliding with walls or other things.’” “.
It is said, and the narrator is trusted, “The golden bird has no knee pads and its feet are flat.”
